International Conference - San Diego 2008

Information about the May 24-May 29, 2008 WCI Conference

The WCI May 2008 Conference is hosted by the two clubs in the San Diego area in cooperation with the WCI.

The WELCOME CLUB INTERNATIONAL CALIFORNIA and the WOMEN’S INTERNATIONAL BORDER CLUB, hope to personally welcome you in May 2008 in our finest city!

As you know, any member of any WCI sister club or affiliated club can attend this bi-annual conference!

We are looking forward to meeting many members of clubs from all over the world here in San Diego. We are also
looking forward to embrace all our dear friends again, ones we have met at past conferences.

Many friendships have been formed at our conferences and it is a known fact that once you have been to
one of our conferences you will never want to miss another one again.

It is also very nice that many of the husbands accompany their wives to our conferences, they will be
entertained with sightseeing trips while there wives are in a meeting.

We hope that many husbands will accompany their wives to San Diego, it is an interesting city to visit and
we are planning a program that will be entertaining for all!

We have chosen the Westin Hotel in Downtown San Diego as our meeting place. We are very excited about
the location of the Westin hotel and we have reserved a number of rooms for our guests.

All the meetings will take place in the Westin as well as the Welcome Dinner and the Farewell Dinner.

It is a very nice four star hotel in the middle of the Gas-Lamp District and adjacent to a very uniquely designed small shopping center, Horton Plaza. It is within walking district of the harbor. The San Diego Sightseeing Trolley makes a stop there. It is also within walking distant of the train station as well as the trolley station.

The airport is very close and a $10 taxi fare away from the hotel……and don’t worry, there is no airplane noise,
the flight path is away from the city, -- too many skyscrapers in downtown San Diego.
